How do I enrol in a course?

Do you offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

Yes. BIT is accredited to assess RPL for all our courses. Contact us to discuss your background and start the ARPL process.

What is a Certificate of Compliance (COC)?

A COC is a legal document certifying an electrical installation complies with SANS 10142. Qualified BIT graduates can issue COCs for single and three-phase systems.

Where are you located?

Our training centre is at Cnr Frikkie Meyer and Kelvin Blvd, Vanderbijlpark CW2, Gauteng.

Do you offer services outside of training?

Yes — we offer Solar PV installation, energy audits, COC issuing, substation maintenance, home automation, and Trade Test preparation.

How long does the Electrician course take?

The full Occupational Certificate: Electrician (NQF Level 4) takes approximately 3 years including theory, practical, and workplace components. RPL exemptions can shorten this.
